2010 A Fair of the Heart

A Goosebump run, free heart health information, a chance to get a cholesterol test – Celebrate Heart Month in February with heart-felt enthusiasm at San Juan Regional Medical Center. See you there!

Hearts are for Valentine's Day. Heart health is for every day. Be a partner in your healthcare by getting good information about heart health at San Juan Regional Medical Center's A Fair of the Heart on February 13, 2010. The free event will offer blood pressure screenings, cardiac health screenings (including baseline EKG), nutrition and diet information, a coupon for a free cholesterol screening, and more.

The health fair will be open from 11am-2pm and will kickoff with our annual Goosebump Walk/Run. Take your heart out for a one mile walk if you are new to exercise, or out for a more challenging three mile run if you really want to pump up. Entry in either event is free, and both events begin at 11am. Registration for the Goosebump begins at 10am.

A Fair of the Heart will be held at the San Juan Health Partners Cardiology clinic located at 407 S. Schwartz, two blocks north of the hospital.

Register for the Goosebump Walk/Run by calling 505-327-2271 by February 5, 2010 and get a free t-shirt!

Here's another way to love your heart!
To recognize Heart Month during the entire month of February, San Juan Regional Medical Center is offering a lipid panel (a simple blood test which measures your cholesterol numbers) for $15. No appointment is necessary – just go to Registration at the hospital, 801 W. Maple, or to the Outpatient Diagnostic Center at 2300 30th St. Building C in Farmington. Fast for 12 hours prior to testing (drink plenty of water) for more accurate results. Cash or check only, please.
